Young children do not become capable thinkers by memorizing answers. They become capable by forming theories, testing ideas, working with other people, and discovering that effort changes what they can do.
Our Preschool House gives children generous time for that work. Teachers weave literacy, mathematics, science, art, and social learning through projects and play that already matter to the group.
What readiness really looks like
Capable in more than one way.
Academic skills matter. So do the human skills that make those academics usable.
Communicate
Tell a story, listen with purpose, build vocabulary, make meaning from print, and express a point of view.
Collaborate
Enter play, contribute an idea, tolerate frustration, solve conflict, and care for a shared community.
Create
Represent thinking through drawing, building, movement, dramatic play, clay, paint, and loose parts.
Persist
Stay with a question, recover from a mistake, ask for help, and experience the satisfaction of real effort.

Manage belongings, serve food, care for materials, take responsibility, and move through routines with confidence.
