A first school experience

The toddler years ask a lot of children. They are becoming more capable by the hour while still needing the reassurance of a trusted adult close by.
Our mixed-age Toddler House is deliberately small, with a 1:4 target ratio and a schoolwide ceiling under 1:6. That gives teachers time for the slow shoe attempt, the full conversation at the changing table, the repeated song, and the extra minute a child needs at goodbye.
What toddlers are building

We follow development without rushing it, offering meaningful ways to participate throughout the day.
Independence
Hand washing, serving, carrying, choosing, helping, and the dignity of doing it myself.
Connection
Naming emotions, joining play, waiting, repairing, and learning that other people have needs too.

Climbing, carrying, dancing, pouring, digging, and building control through the whole body.

A steady rhythm, not a rigid clock.
Predictable anchors help toddlers feel safe. Enough flexibility lets teachers respond to the humans in the room.
